Life is difficult. We all have problems – life is a succession of hurdles to overcome and difficult choices to consider. Sometimes we need help to overcome issues such as an unwanted habit, fear, phobia or wanting to change a part of your life which you feel is holding you back. Addictions, stress, anxiety, lack of self-confidence, phobias and many other issues can blight our life. Hypnotherapy can help – and it really does work as many of my clients will tell you. Don’t be confused by stage hypnosis. The clue about what hypnotherapy can do for you is in the title. Take That First Step To Changing Your Life!

Mind Generating Success is a successful hypnotherapy practice based at the Engage Fitness Suite at Edinburgh Napier University’s Sighthill Campus in the west of the capital city. It gives a helping hand to those who wish to rid themselves of unwanted habits such as over-eating, eating disorders, smoking, phobias, sleep problems and lack of self-esteem or stress. This not like stage hypnotists. You are not ‘put to sleep’. You are fully aware and in control at all times. So no dancing around the room thinking you are a chicken! Hypnotherapy is simply you sitting listening to me talk to your subconscious mind. You are in a wholly relaxed state and all of my clients have told me how relaxed they feel after. And the results are stunning! Many clients have told me their lives have been transformed whether it be by no longer snacking, stopping smoking or overcoming an addiction or phobia. There is 10% off every session for NHS workers, staff and students of the University o...

You feel sick and sweat profusely? Do you feel detached from reality? These are some of the symptoms of a panic attack – particularly when these symptoms occur for seemingly no reason. It can be a very frightening experience - but for those who have a panic disorder this can be a frequent occurrence. These feelings can be overwhelming – sometimes those who experience panic attacks can lose control of their breathing, thus making the situation worse. The length of a panic attack depends on the person experiencing one – after all, we are all different. An attack can be between five and ten minutes or the more prolonged ones can last up to two hours.   Quite often, though, panic attacks can end as quickly as they begin. What causes a panic attack? There is no definitive answer ...
